Slipping these in just under the wire! I made illustrations of the Murry parents for this prompt at ljrevival. Click through to see super big versions (on my deviantart, yes, suck it up).

Rereading A Wrinkle In Time just confirmed that they were both appallingly attractive and intelligent and had no right to be married and producing children. Meg is all their worst qualities condensed into one human (which still makes for a feisty little female) and Charles Wallace is the exact opposite. Then Sandy and Dennys take the middle ground, which obviously makes them the most appealing of the entire bunch. Humans are drawn to averageness: FACT. Now let me just fly through the rest of the series so I can get to Many Waters, thanks.

Also I want so badly to purchase this new set of covers (I have touched them and yes, they are THAT beautiful), but I'm tragically loyal to the ones I already own. But my set is incomplete, so... pros and cons, man. Pros and cons.

Here's a quickie update for ljrevival. I wanted to put my top ten favorite re-issued covers, but in brainstorming I only came up with ~~five~~ six I really love (one of which I just discovered last night—and ordered obviously).

Now you all have to tell me what awesome re-issues are missing from my list. I thought of a few other Penguin classics, but nothing I was swept away by. Thoughts?
